EBSA HORIZONS

A comprehensive CPD course for EPs on Emotional Based School Avoidance, which develops our understanding and skills to support children and young people experiencing difficulties attending school.

EXECUTIVE FUNCTIONS: Connecting into Practice

A practical and detailed course covering all aspects of Executive Functions; from understanding EF components and typical development, to assessment, formulation, and models of intervention which can be used within consultation.
Training Content:
7 Chapters; 2 days training
Assessments: There are a range of observational, informal and standardised assessment approaches, including a number of ideas and resources that can be utilised directly from your psychological toolkit.
Strategies: A range of evidence-based and practice-based strategies and interventions, alongside practical ideas on how we can talk about Executive Functions with consultations to gain a shared understanding and jointly formulate helpful accommodations and interventions.

An incredibly powerful and empowering course which gives us the knowledge and skills to achieve the best outcomes within casework and consultation, as well as work systemically to support schools to create a system which works for all.
Training Content:
7 Chapters; 2 days training
Following a delve into literacy development, difficulties and dyslexia, the course progresses to build our understanding of effective assessment, accommodation and intervention at the family, whole class, small group and intensive levels of support.
Framework for Intervention: A Response to Intervention (RTI) model is explored in detail at the three levels and offers a structured framework of how we, as Educational Psychologists can work with the aim to affect real, lasting change.
